Course Details
Designed by Robert Muir Graves & Damian Pascuzzo — a challenging par-72 layout opened in 1999, etched into the rolling hills of La Habra.
A legacy of celebrated design
Few golf course designers have left a bigger mark than Robert Muir Graves, whose impressive body of work spanned a 50-year career. Graves designed a host of celebrated courses in California, including La Purisima, Boundary Oak, and Quail Lodge Golf Club. He worked primarily on the West Coast, but built courses as far away as Portugal.
Highly respected by his peers, Graves served as President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects in 1974–75 and co-authored Golf Course Design and Classic Golf Hole Architecture with Geoffrey Cornish. At Westridge Golf Club, Graves collaborated with protégé Damian Pascuzzo, a distinguished architect in his own right.
A hillside layout that rewards precision
Etched into the hills of La Habra, every hole tests a different skill — accurate shotmaking, smart club selection, and steady nerves.
Sand bunkers
Strategically placed to protect fairways and greens throughout the course.
Water hazards
In play on holes 4 and 18 — accuracy is everything.
14
Ravine crossing
A deep ravine cuts across the 14th fairway demanding a confident carry.
ROLLING
Sloping greens
Surfaces that match the rolling landscape — read carefully.
Uphill & downhill shots
Varied topography requires instinctive club selection on every shot.
HILLSIDE
Hillside breezes
Shifting winds across the elevated terrain add subtle obstacles that reward versatile skills.
Three holes that define Westridge
Water, ravine, and a dramatic finish — three holes that demand strategy over strength.
Tactical short par 5
A short par 5 with a water hazard that forces a lay-up shot. The reward is on the table — but only for the patient player who plans both shots ahead.
A textbook target golf challenge
“The ravine layout creates such visual pressure that it’s the easiest hole on the course to lose strokes — a textbook example of target golf.”
A short par 5 reachable for long hitters with a dogleg right. The best play is a confident lay-up short of the hazard, leaving a downhill approach into a well-protected green.
The signature finish
A par 5 reachable in two for long hitters. Hazard on the right, fairway slopes heavily toward the right, and water guards the front and right of the green. Bold play rewarded — punished too.
Grand vistas, native flora, hillside breezes
The varied topography and shifting winds present subtle obstacles that reward versatile golf skills. The course’s elevation opens to grand vistas of Orange and LA counties with the towering San Gabriel Mountains nearby, while native flowers and wildlife create a sense of seclusion.
Tucked in the hills of La Habra
A short distance from three major freeways on Beach and Imperial.
